My goal as a wedding painter is to create a cherished heirloom, a one-of-a-kind piece of art that tells a story and captures the mood and celebration of your special day that can’t be replicated in a photo.

A live wedding painting is one of the best investments for your special day. Not only is it a treasured keepsake but provides a unique form of entertainment for your guests as they can watch the progress of the painting throughout the evening.

Couples typically choose between popular scenes: the Ceremony, the First Kiss, the Bride and Groom Dance, the First Look, and the Newlyweds in a Landscape Setting. Other subjects are available on request.

The Process:


PLANNING

  • Verify availability

  • We will meet and discuss your vision and your wedding day logistics, the scene and size of the finished canvas

  • I will follow up with a detailed proposal

  • Two weeks before the event we will do a final review discussing all aspects of the day with a detailed timeline.

YOUR WEDDING DAY

  • I will show up 2-3 hours before the wedding starts to set up and begin painting the environment and background.

  • I will take a few reference photos during the chosen scene and will use them as my reference for the rest of the evening.

  • I will continue to work on the painting and interact with guests throughout the evening. Depending upon the size of the canvas, the painting will be about 90% finished.

AFTERWARDS

  • The painting will be taken back to my studio and make some additional refinements and details.

  • After the painting is approved, I will apply an archival protective varnish.

  • Within 3 weeks of your wedding, I will plan to deliver the finished artwork.

FAQs

  • Yes, if I am booked or you are already married, I can create a painting in my studio from your photos.

  • I am completely self-contained and mobile in my set up. I need approximately a 6x6 area that is out of the way of the main wedding reception but close enough to allow for guest interaction, and a view of the scene.

  • I am based in Cleveland Ohio but will be available to travel.

     A travel stipend will be added to the proposal. The stipend is not required for weddings located at a driving distance of less than 3 hours.

  • Once the details are confirmed and the proposal is accepted and signed, I will need a 50% deposit to confirm the booking. Your date will be secured on my calendar. The remaining 50 % is due 2 weeks prior to the event date.

12x16 $1,400.00

16x20   $1,600.00

18x24   $2,300.00

24x30   $2,600.00

30x40   $3,500.00

All packages include:

  • The entire wedding day of live painting entertainment 6-7 hours on site

  • Detailed consultation

  • Set up and tear down of mobile studio

  • Post-event studio time and shipping or local delivery of finished artwork

  • Professional grade acrylics, canvases and finished with archival varnish
